Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that the new curriculum of secondary level will be fully implemented by 2025 and SSC and equivalent examinations will be held for the first time in this curriculum in 2026.
He said this at the inauguration of `Smart Education Festival-2023` at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium in the capital today.
In the event, the education minister said, "The evaluation of students is starting from this year. It will take us time to understand various aspects. Teachers and parents also need some time to adjust with the new curriculum.”
Meanwhile, Dipu Moni also said, "We are lucky to have huge enthusiasm among the students. Students will quickly get used to it. We will continue to discuss the different parts of this smart education.” She also said that we are organizing this event to create smart education policy so that we can build a smart Bangladesh.
The Department of Secondary and Higher Education organized the `Smart Education Festival` on the occasion of the initiation of the smart education strategy for the implementation of the new curriculum in the construction of Smart Bangladesh.
In this festival, 20 smart education programs will be displayed and 10 seminars will be held with the participation of people from all walks of life. The festival was organized to present some ideas at the policy-making level with a view to frame a central `Smart Education` framework.
This year, the implementation of the new curriculum began in the sixth and seventh grades of secondary school and the first grade of primary school. In 2024, the implementation of the new curriculum in the eighth and ninth classes will begin. The new curriculum will be implemented in class 10 in 2025. After that, the first SSC and equivalent exams of 2026 are scheduled to be held.
