Police intercepted a procession organized by members of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in Chattogram, detaining six individuals during the operation.
The incident took place early this morning around 7:20 AM near the GEC intersection in front of Mohammadia Hotel under the jurisdiction of Panchlaish Police Station.
A group of BCL activists reportedly attempted to organize the procession to mark the 76th founding anniversary of the Awami League.
Acting on information, police from Panchlaish Station promptly arrived at the location, halted the procession, and detained six participants on the spot.
An official from the Chattogram Metropolitan Police confirmed the detentions to media and stated that legal proceedings are underway.
