A landslide in the Machang region of Malaysia claimed the lives of three Bangladeshi migrant laborers on Thursday.
According to Friday`s statement from Nazmus Sadat Salim, minister (labour) at the Bangladesh mission, the deceased are Jahidul Khan, 20, and Sajjad Hossain, 20, of Shariatpur, as well as Monirul Islam, 31, of Pabna.
According to the official, following autopsy, the bodies were kept at a nearby hospital.
The mission is trying to send the bodies home as soon as possible and also working to realise compensation from their employers, he said.
Through e-visa, the migrant laborers may have recently entered in Malaysia, the officer told the media over the phone.
