New political party ‍‍`Jatiya Nagorik Party‍‍` set to launch with 5 key leaders

A new political party, named the ‍‍`Jatiya Nagorik Party‍‍` (National Citizens Party), is all set for its grand debut tomorrow, Friday.

This party is being launched by the National Citizens Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

The final leadership decisions for the party were made during a joint meeting on Thursday, February 27, which took place at the central office of the National Citizens Committee in Banglamotor, Dhaka.

The meeting lasted from noon until the afternoon and was attended by several key leaders from both organizations. The names of the confirmed leaders were shared during this meeting.

Nahid Islam has been named as the Convener of the new political party, while Akhtar Hossain will take up the role of the Member Secretary.

The leadership also includes Hasnat Abdullah, who has been appointed as the Chief Organizer for the southern region, Sarjis Alam as the Chief Organizer for the northern region, and Nasiruddin Patwary as the Chief Coordinator.

However, some leadership positions are yet to be finalized.

Due to multiple candidates being in the running, the Senior Joint Convener and Senior Joint Member Secretary roles are still undecided.

The official unveiling of the ‍‍`Jatiya Nagorik Party‍‍` will take place tomorrow afternoon at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka, where the top leaders of the party will be formally announced.
