Drishyam 3 crosses Rs 150 crore worldwide

Drishyam 3 continued its strong run at the box office as the Mohanlal starrer crossed Rs 150 crore in worldwide earnings within five days of release.

The film earned around Rs 7.35 crore in India on its fifth day, taking its total India net collection to nearly Rs 62 crore.

According to trade reports, the movie’s worldwide gross collection has now reached more than Rs 156 crore, including strong overseas earnings.

The crime thriller also maintained steady audience turnout on Monday, with higher occupancy recorded during evening and night shows.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film is the third instalment of the popular Drishyam franchise.
Ahead of the release, Mohanlal hinted that another sequel could be possible in the future depending on audience response.

The Drishyam series began in 2013 and became one of the most successful thriller franchises in Indian cinema.

The latest film follows Georgekutty as he faces new challenges after the success of a novel linked to his past.

The cast also includes Meena, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil.
