The government had planned to award 82,500 scholarships under the Primary Scholarship Examination Policy-2026, including 33,000 Talentpool and 49,500 General scholarships.
However, this year`s final number of scholarship recipients stood at 79,246.
Among the Talentpool scholarship recipients, 26,375 are from government primary schools and 6,590 from non-government institutions.

The minister said the scholarship results were being uploaded to the Directorate of Primary Education`s website and the publication process was expected to be completed within a few hours.
