How are you passing days in quarantine?
Tamim: How am I passing (laughs), I am fine. We must comply by the rules. Wherever we go, we have to maintain these regulations. It’s fine, not that bad.
Practice starts in two days. Will everything return to normal or not?
Tamim: Yes, the first one or two sessions might be difficult. As we had minimum movement. So, I believe things will return to normalcy after the first one or two sessions. Additionally, day after tomorrow if all things go well, we will hit the gym. When we will start working out at the gym, our bodies will start becoming more used to. In Shaa Allah no problems will remain.
As this is your first tour as captain, share your thoughts please.
Tamim: This is my first tour as captain. I am hopeful. I am certain that we will be able to grow as a team before the One-day series begins. Honestly, I have faith every player in the team wants to do well for Bangladesh.
To what extent do you think are Bangladesh team's possibilities?
Tamim: I am hopeful, In Shaa Allah, let’s see what happens. As I always say, Bangladesh Team has capabilities. If we execute our plan. If we can play according to the plan we have made, if we perform the best as a team, we will be indomitable! I believe it firmly, I am sure others in the team believe the same. We are all incredibly hopeful.
What are your thoughts on the practice sessions?
Tamim: We will be permitted to use the gymnasium from day after tomorrow if our COVID test results are negative. We have two gyms here, which teams may use in separate groups. Subsequently, from the 8th day onwards, if everything remains all right, we will be allowed be practice on-field in small groups. Many days have passed, I am optimistic that when these things will begin, our complete focus will return to cricket.
