Four buses were torched in the capital amid nationwide strikes.
Shahjahan Sikder, officer-in-charge of the media cell of the fire service headquarters, confirmed the matter and said that the fire service has worked on 3 fire incidents since morning.

According to the notification sent by the media cell of the fire service, two units of Siddikbazar fire station extinguished the fire in `Shikor` bus at the south gate of Baitul Mokarram around 9:00 am.
Two units of Mohammadpur Fire Station extinguished the fire in a bus named `Paristhan Paribahan` at Town Hall Bazar, Mohammadpur under police security around 10:15 am.
Two units of Sadarghat Fire Station put out the fire under police protection when a passenger bus named `Bihanga Paribahan` torched at Tatibazar Junction, Bangshal, Dhaka around 10.30 am.
