Two armed groups clashed again in Rowangchari Upazila of Bandarban. Three people died in this clash on Monday morning. Police recovered their bullet-riddled bodies from the forest between Kaplang and Paikhyang paras of the upazila.
Rowangchari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter to TheReport.Live. However, he could not say for sure between whom this clash happened.
OC Abdul Mannan said, “The police recovered the bodies of three people from the hilly forest between Kaplang and Paikhong neighborhoods around 4 pm on Monday. All the victims belong to tribal community. It is not known which regional group of hills this clash took place in.” He also said that the bodies have been sent to Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, Rowangchari upazila executive officer Md. Khorshed Alam Chowdhury told The Report.Live that two groups of a mountain regional group clashed mainly around the dominance of the area. Police recovered three bodies. Their names and identities are not known.
