In the announcement of the 2024-25 budget, Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali stated that aiming at the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Bangladesh will attract USD 1 billion in investments and create 1 million smart jobs within the next five years.
He mentioned that advanced research centers would be established for artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, semiconductors, electric vehicles, and space and geospatial technology.
The Finance Minister also projected that by 2041, ICT exports will grow from USD 500 million to USD 50 billion.
