BNP has declared a 48-hour nationwide blockade starting on Sunday where they want the government to resign, a neutral government until the elections, and the release of BNP leaders.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme this evening.
On October 29, BNP observed a one-day hartal in response to the October 28 violence centered on BNP’s rally, which resulted in the death of a police officer.
On October 31, BNP imposed a 72-hour blockade, on November 5 a 48-hour blockade, and on November 8 a 48-hour blockade.
