The Election Commission (EC) will publish the draft list of polling centers for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election on September 10.
The announcement was made in a letter issued Wednesday (August 20) by EC Deputy Secretary Md. Mahbub Alam Shah.
According to the EC, the Polling Center Establishment and Management Policy 2025 has already been approved and was published in the supplementary issue of the Bangladesh Gazette on June 26.
Under the Representation of the People Order (RPO), the list of polling centers must be preserved and finalized at least 25 days before the national election and published in the Gazette.
The letter noted that in preparation for the election, area-based draft lists of polling centers must be published, followed by the submission and review of objections or claims.
These claims will be resolved in line with the approved policy before finalizing the list of polling stations.
In line with the commission’s decision, the draft list will be released on September 10. The deadline for submitting claims or objections is September 25, while the last date for their settlement is October 12. The final list of polling centers is expected to be announced on October 20.
The letter further instructed officials to follow the approved policy and schedule to complete the necessary tasks.
It also directed that both numerical data of the draft and finalized polling centers, along with soft copies, be submitted to the Election Assistance-1 branch via the respective regional election officers within the stipulated timeframe.
