A restaurant at Centre Point Shopping Mall in Uttara caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, prompting six firefighting units to rush to the scene.
The fire started on the fifth floor of the six-storey building near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 12:45pm, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control at around 1:40pm, said Md Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector at the Fire Service media cell.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately known.
Centre Point Shopping Mall is located beside Dhaka airport in Uttara.
