Two Bangladesh Army soldiers were killed and an officer was seriously injured in an accident during a field firing exercise in Hathazari, Chattogram.
The accident occurred at the Hathazari Firing Range on Wednesday morning, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate said in a press release.
According to the ISPR, the accident occurred while a tank was firing during the field firing exercise. Two army soldiers were killed and an officer was seriously injured in the incident.
The officer suffered severe injuries to both legs. He is being airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for advanced medical treatment, the statement said.
The ISPR also said necessary measures are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
