At least six people have been killed when a bus ploughed into a truck laden with stones at Trishal upazila in Mymensingh. The accident took place on Saturday (October 16) at around 3:25 pm. Another 10 people were injured in the accident.
Trishal Police Station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Main Uddin confirmed the matter to The Report via telephone.
He said six people were killed when a truck hit a bus parked in the Chelerghat area of Mymensingh's Trishal upazila. 10 people were injured in the incident. The deceased could not be identified yet.
A truck loaded with stones was already parked on the side of the road in Chelerghat area. Later, a bus named Super MA Rahim Paribahan hit the truck while trying to accommodate another bus.
Five people were killed on the spot. 1 critically injured was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors on duty declared him dead, according to the OC.
