Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday said that Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) would give a befitting reply to the quota demonstrating leaders who have shown extreme arrogance by calling themselves "Razakars".
He warned the quota protesters at a press conference at the political office of the Awami League president in Dhanmondi on Monday.
Students of Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, BUET and other universities across the country brought out processions for anti-quota protest from Sunday evening to midnight .
From the procession of these students in favor of the anti-quota movement, the students chanted slogans in Bangla "Ami ke Tumi ke? Razakar, Razakar; ke boleche ke boleche, Soirachar Soirachar. The slogans are translated into English as, "Who am I? Who are you? Razakar, Razakar; Who said? dictator, dictator."
The slogans also includes: "Lakho Shohider rokte kena, Deshta karo baper na." This can be transcribed into English as, "The country got independence in exchange of the sacrifice of the millions of martyrs. And the country does not belong to anyone`s father.
