Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep grief over the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft at the Milestone School and College campus in Dhaka’s Diabari area.
In a condolence message issued on Monday (July 21), Dr. Yunus stated, “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic accident in which a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft crashed at the Milestone School and College campus in the Diabari area of the capital today. The loss suffered by air force personnel, students, parents, teachers, staff, and others due to this incident is irreparable. This is a moment of profound sorrow for the nation.”
He added, “I wish a swift recovery for the injured and have instructed all concerned authorities, including hospitals, to handle the situation with the highest priority. The government will take necessary measures to investigate the cause of the accident and ensure all possible assistance to those affected.”
The aircraft had taken off at 1:06 PM on Monday and crashed shortly afterward.
