As Ramadan approaches, Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus has called on field-level officials to take action to ensure that the prices of essential goods remain reasonable and that supplies are uninterrupted throughout the holy month.

In a video conference held at the Chief Adviser’s Office on Monday, Dr. Yunus shared his instructions with officials from 31 districts across four divisions.

He highlighted the importance of maintaining law and order, promoting unity and peace within communities, safeguarding agricultural products, ensuring a steady supply of fertilizers, and maintaining harmony in industrial zones.

All these measures are crucial to ensuring a smooth and peaceful Ramadan for the people, he emphasized.

The conference was attended by officials from the Dhaka, Chattogram, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, who were able to speak and share their views.

A total of 19 officials participated, including divisional commissioners, police commissioners, range police chiefs, deputy commissioners, and superintendents of police.

The meeting aimed to ensure that the government is well-prepared for the challenges Ramadan may bring, with an emphasis on keeping prices under control and ensuring stability in essential sectors.
