Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan has extended greetings to the Buddhist community in Bangladesh and abroad on the occasion of Buddha Purnima.
In a message, he highlighted the teachings of Gautama Buddha, describing him as a symbol of peace, compassion and equality.
The minister said Buddha’s message remains important in today’s world and can help build a peaceful and fair society.
He also noted that Bangladesh is an example of communal harmony, where people of different religions live together with respect.
Speaking about the Chittagong Hill Tracts, he praised its cultural diversity and traditions, calling its people an important part of national unity.
Dipen urged everyone to follow the values of peace and unity and work together for the development of the country.
He also called for strengthening harmony among communities and building a prosperous Bangladesh through collective efforts.
