Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq said the government wants to hear all reasonable recommendations.
"The government will listen to those who speak for the sake of the people. The government does not have the intention to stop civil society from speaking. The government will take the recommendations of the civil society seriously and the door to discussion with the government on Digital Security Act (DSA) is open."
The minister said this while addressing as the chief guest of a program titled 'Shaping of third Sector - Laws and Policies' organized by Counterpart International and International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) under the USAID's Promoting Advocacy and Rights (PAR) activity at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Monday.
Anisul said that they are open to discuss on the DSA again and anyone can give an opinion.
"Everyone knows the context of why we are forced to make this law. All laws have some systemic problems. Again there is a problem of implementation," law minister added.
He went on saying, "When there is a problem with implementation, it can be resolved through discussion. That's why we will sit again to make discussion regarding the law. If we can change any section and solve the problem, then we will definitely go for it."
"Then, if we still find that the law needs to be amended, we will do that too. But it would not be reasonable to cancel the entire law," he furthered.
