Cold cripples north as lowest temperature recorded in Kurigram

The northern region of the country has been experiencing moderate cold wave as the lowest temperature was recorded at 6.4 degree Celsius in Rajarhat of Kurigram district on Friday.

The temperature in Dinajpur was recorded at 8.5 degree Celsius.

Rajarhat weather monitoring centre in-charge Md. Anisur Rahman confirmed the news on Friday.

Humidity was 93 percent in Dinajpur.

People of low income in northern districts including Thakurgaon, Panchagarh, Dinajpur, Sirajganj, Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Pabna, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Gaibandha, Joypurhat, Bogra, Rangpur, Naogaon and Natore are suffering badly due to the cold spell.

Meanwhile, the temperature in Rangpur was recorded at 8.2 degree Celsius, 7.8 degree Celsius in Saidpur, 6.8 degree Celsius in Dimla, 8.4 degree Celsius in Naogaon, 9.0 degree Celsius in Chuadanga, 8.5 degree Celsius in Rajshahi and 7.3 degree Celsius in Tentulia.
