Cricketer Al Amin’s wife Ishrat Jahan filed a case against him, alleging torture and demanding dowry. The trial of the case has officially started.
On Sunday (March 5), Dhaka's Women and Children Torture Suppression Tribunal-8 judge Begum Mafroza Parveen was scheduled to hear the complaint. Al Amin, the pace bowler of the Bangladesh national cricket team, was present in the court on this day. He pleaded not guilty, but after the hearing, the judge ordered the filing of charges against him. April 9 is fixed for the witness.
So far Ishrat has filed three cases against Al Amin. Finally, on November 16 last year, she filed a case to regain conjugal rights in Dhaka's first senior assistant judge, Begum Kaniz Tanya Rupa.
Al Amin, who has been denying his wife's complaint from the beginning, finally held a press conference on September 9 last year and raised various allegations against his wife. He claimed that his wife's intention was to destroy his career by indulging in extramarital affairs.
