Cyclone ‍‍`Remal‍‍` is poised to unleash destruction similar to that of Cyclone Aila. On Sunday, Bangladesh Meteorological Department Director Md. Azizur Rahman stated, "The cyclone will enter Bangladesh through Mongla Sea Port this evening. However, its front has already made landfall, causing some embankments in Satkhira to break."

According to the latest information from the Meteorological Department, Cyclone ‍‍`Remal‍‍` is currently located 180 kilometers south of Payra Sea Port.

Once the cyclone‍‍`s center makes landfall, wind speeds could reach up to 120 km/h. A maximum danger signal number 10 has been issued for 14 coastal districts, including Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Jhalokathi, Barguna, Barishal, Bhola, and Patuakhali, as well as their nearby islands.

Additionally, a danger signal number 9 has been issued for Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Feni, Noakhali, and Chandpur, including their nearby islands and chars. River ports in Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Jhalokathi, Barguna, Barishal, Bhola, Patuakhali, Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar have been advised to hoist danger signal number 4.

Due to Cyclone ‍‍`Remal‍‍`, coastal areas may experience tidal surges with waves rising 8-12 feet high. Heavy rainfall in various hilly regions may also trigger landslides. ‍‍`Remal‍‍` is expected to gradually weaken 3-4 hours after making landfall. However, heavy rainfall is likely across the country, including Dhaka, from Sunday night due to the cyclone‍‍`s impact.
