As many as 20 thousand 600 taka has been fined in 35 cases during a mobile court drive in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) area for keeping shops open defying safety protocols imposed by government in a bid to curb coronavirus infection.
Mobile court in DNCC Zone 1 led by executive magistrate Md Zulkar Nain filed 3 cases and fined taka 400 and executive magistrate Mohammad Abdul Hamid fined taka 15 thousand in 15 cases at Zone 3.
At Zone 6, executive magistrate Sazia Afrin fined 2 thousand 200 taka in 11 cases while executive magistrate Mohammed Ashraful Alam fined taka 3 thousand in 6 cases at the same area.
During the drive authorities used loudspeaker to aware people of using hand sanitizer and mask and abiding by government guidelines to fight Covid-19.
