Dhaka University (DU) authorities started admission tests for the academic session 2020-21.
The admission tests begin around 11.00am from Friday (1 October).
Apart from the capital, the admission tests are being held at other divisional cities of the country.
Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman said outside Dhaka, admission tests are being held at Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, Khulna University, Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet, Barisal University, and Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.
The exam for the "Ka" unit is being held today (October 1), followed by the "Kha" unit on October 2, "Ga" unit on October 22, and "Gha" unit on October 23, while the general knowledge exam of the “Cha” unit will take place on October 9.
DU has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards fraudulent activities during admission tests, Prof Akhtaruzzaman stated.
The frauds as well as students who got admitted using deceitful means have been brought under the law, the VC added.
