Exports from Bangladesh hit an all-time high of $52.08 billion in the just-concluded fiscal year, overshooting the target that was set at $43.5 billion.
According to data released by Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), the receipts were up 34.38 per cent compared to the previous fiscal year of 2020-21.
Exporters brought home $38.76 billion in fiscal 2020-21, data showed today.
The country also earned $8 billion from the service sector in the last financial year.
The target was $51 billion for services and goods combined.
According to Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, the export authorities are planning to set a combined target of $65 billion for the ongoing fiscal year.
