Ali’s positive test result came to light after he participated in a virtual cabinet committee meeting on public purchases. The minister’s condition was confirmed on Wednesday.
Mahmudul Hossain Khan, the Cabinet Secretary for Coordination and Reforms, officially relayed this information to the media, shedding light on the minister’s situation.
He virtually attended a crucial pre-budget meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The upcoming national budget for fiscal year 2024-25 is scheduled to be announced in parliament on June 6, and the finance minister is scheduled to announce the budget.
