The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has detained Shamsul Alam, former State Minister for Planning.
He was detained around 12:30 AM on Wednesday night from a residence in the Mohammadpur area of the capital.
According to DMP sources, legal proceedings against Shamsul Alam are currently underway. Further details regarding the charges or specific allegations have not been disclosed yet.
