The government has declined a proposal to purchase 25 vehicles intended for use by advisers, ministers, and individuals of equivalent rank.
This decision was made during a meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Economic Affairs, held on Tuesday, May 20, at the Cabinet Division’s conference room.
The meeting was chaired by Economic Affairs Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed.
The proposal to purchase the vehicles was submitted by the Ministry of Public Administration, seeking policy approval.
According to meeting sources, three proposals were scheduled for discussion. Of these, one from the Ministry of Agriculture was not presented.
Out of the remaining two, one received approval from the committee, while the other—concerning the vehicle purchase—was not approved.
The committee ultimately decided not to grant policy approval for the proposed purchase of the 25 vehicles.
