The Ministry of Religion said that the cost of Hajj has been reduced by 11 thousand and 725 taka. Government reduced the cost by lowering the price of tents in Mina of Saudi Arabia. Also, the registration period has been extended till March 27.
Abul Kashem Mohammad Shaheen, Deputy Secretary of Hajj-1 branch of the Ministry of Religion, said that the registration will continue from Wednesday (March, 22).
After cost reduction, the current Hajj package price under government management is 6 lakh 71 thousand and 290 taka.
Even after extending the deadline four times, the quota set by Bangladesh for this year's Hajj has not been fulfilled. In order to meet the quota, the cost has been reduced and the time has been extended.
