Khaleda Zia won’t get permission to go abroad as she is convicted to graft. She can fly only if she gets the presidential clemency, said Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif MP.
He was speaking to a programme held at the Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Friday (November 26).
“This is truth that Khaleda Zia was a prime minister. But this is also truth that she has been punished by the court. She is very lucky she got various facilities in the jail due to the generosity of prime minister Sheikh Hasina,” Hanif said
He said, “BNP, various times, questioned why Khaleda Zia can’t go abroad for treatment. I want to say that BNP is doing politics with Khaleda Zia’s ailment. Instead of managing a proper treatment for her, BNP is making remarks upholding the government’s fault.”
