BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will have to appeal for medical treatment in abroad landing on jail.
Law minister Anisul Huq said this while speaking to a workshop orginised by Law Reporters Forum at a hotel in the capital on Saturday (August 28).
“Khaleda Zia has to go back to the jail to appeal for medical treatment in abroad. When she first pleaded, she did not mention about her foreign trip. She was released on condition of not flying abroad,” the law minister said. “If any appeal is settled, it is not legally possible to file another petition out of the prison.”
Referring to the August 21 grenade attack Anisul Huq said, “The attorney general has been requested to conduct hearing on the appeal of the defence. We hope the hearing will start soon.”
Appellate division judge Obaidur Rahman and high court judge M Enayetur Rahim were present in the ceremony among other dignitaries while Law Reporters Forum president Mashhudul Haque presided over the meeting and general secretary Muhammad Yasin anchored.
