Main Eid jamaat at National Eidgah at 8:30am

The country’s main Eid Jamaat  will be held at the National Eidgah in Dhaka at 8:30am tomorrow, marking the largest religious festival of Muslims.
 

Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek will lead the main jamaat, while Islamic Foundation’s Mufassir Dr Maulana Md Abu Saleh Patwari will remain prepared as an alternate imam.
 

In addition, five Eid congregations will be held consecutively at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, according to a statement from the Islamic Foundation.
 

The first jamaat will begin at 7:00am, followed by prayers at 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am and 10:45am.
 

Senior Pesh Imam Maulana Mizanur Rahman will lead the first congregation, Mufti Muhibbullahil Baqi Nadvi the second, Maulana Md Zakir Hossain the third, Maulana Zobayer Ahmed Al Azhari the fourth and Mufti Maulana Mohammad Abdullah the fifth.
 

Maulana Shahidul Islam will remain prepared as an alternate imam during the congregations.
 

Eid prayers will also be held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, Dhaka University’s central mosque and various mosques and Eidgahs across the capital.
