Messages left by the students for Awami League and Sheikh Hasina

A large student led protest had erupted at Dhanmondi 32, On Wednesday night, following the announcement that the exiled leader Sheikh Hasina’s speech would broadcast on social media.

That protest led to the demolition of the iconic House of Dhanmondi 32, once home to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Dhaka.

Students kept destroying and burning the building throughout the night, and it continued till Thursday.

Heavy machineries, such as excavators were used in the process to turn the building into dust.

Though the demolition process was ongoing, the large number of protesting students reduced as the day unfolded.  

But they have left some messages for Awami League and its exiled leader Sheikh Hasina.

Graffiti’s could be seen all over the ruins of the house of Dhanmondi 32, and through the graffiti’s the students left warnings and messages such as,
“If you enter, you’ll be caught and brought to justice,” “Fascist Hasina!” “Today where is that Sheikh Mujib?”

Some were seen stealing car parts and rods from the ruins, while the demolition was still ongoing.

As the fires still burned and the demolition continued, the scene at Dhanmondi 32 reflected the deep-rooted tensions and public unrest that have gripped the country in recent months.
