National Citizens Committee threatens strong action if July Uprising Declaration is further delayed

The National Citizens Committee has warned that they will take strong action if there is any further delay in announcing the declaration of the July Uprising.

Nasir Uddin Patuari, the convenor of the committee, shared this warning during a press conference held on Saturday afternoon at their central office in Banglamotor, Dhaka.

During the conference, Patuari revealed that from January 6 to 11, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the Citizens Committee will carry out an outreach campaign across various districts. 

The goal of this campaign is to hear from people of all walks of life—no matter their profession or religion—to learn about their hopes and dreams.

Patuari also expressed his concern, stating that the government‍‍`s efforts to finalize the declaration are still not visible. 

He emphasized that if the government doesn’t take effective steps soon, the committee will have no choice but to announce stronger measures. 

He called on everyone to unite in preparing the revolutionary declaration that will truly reflect the wishes and aspirations of the people.

Hasnat Abdullah, convenor of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, added that their outreach campaign would involve talking to people from every background to understand their perspectives.
