Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended Eid-ul-Azha greetings to people across Bangladesh and Muslims around the world, calling on everyone to embrace the values of sacrifice, faith and devotion during the holy festival.
In a message issued on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the prime minister said the festival carries the timeless lessons of self-sacrifice, spiritual purification and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
He said Eid-ul-Azha inspires Muslims every year to strengthen their faith and uphold the ideals of compassion, obedience and piety.
“I extend my heartfelt Eid Mubarak to the people of Bangladesh and Muslims across the world on this auspicious occasion,” the prime minister said, also conveying greetings to the global community.
Tarique Rahman said Muslims in Bangladesh and elsewhere are preparing to celebrate the festival in a spirit of devotion and sacrifice. He noted that Eid-ul-Azha is not only a joyful religious occasion but also a reflection of deep faith and commitment to Allah.
Highlighting the significance of the day, he referred to the supreme sacrifice and unwavering obedience of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), saying the event continues to hold profound importance for Muslims around the world.
The prime minister prayed for the acceptance of Qurbani offered by the faithful and sought peace, security and stability for Bangladesh, the Muslim world and humanity as a whole.
He also expressed hope for greater global harmony and prosperity through the teachings and values of the holy occasion.
“May this Eid-ul-Azha strengthen the spirit of sacrifice among us. May Allah accept our Qurbani and prayers and bless everyone with peace and prosperity,” he added.
Eid-ul-Azha is one of the largest religious festivals observed by Muslims worldwide and is marked by prayers, animal sacrifice and charitable activities in remembrance of Hazrat Ibrahim’s (AS) devotion to Almighty Allah.
