The fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) will take place in Doha, the capital of Qatar, from March 5 to 9. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is anticipated to attend.
In order to discuss the Prime Minister's participation in the LDC5, an inter-ministerial meeting was conducted on January 30 and was presided over by Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, according to reports made public during a weekly briefing on Thursday.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Seheli Sabrin came up with this development.
The LDC5 is an opportunity to access the full potential of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and help them move forward on the path to prosperity. It is a once in a decade chance to accelerate sustainable development in the regions where international aid is most required.
The Least Developed Countries in the globe have time until 2030 to complete the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). According to the UN, in order to guarantee that these 46 countries profit from social, economic, and environmental progress, the remaining years must usher in a new global cooperation.
