The trial of the actress Pori Moni's case under the Narcotics Control Act will now proceed in the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court. The Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court passed the order on Wednesday (October 13).
Pori Moni's lawyer Nilanjana Rifat told The Report that Pori Moni had been absent from court sessions for the past two days due to illness. However, the court has fixed October 26 for accepting the charge sheet of the case.
Pori Moni will have to take bail for the third time from the judge's court on the due date.
Earlier on Sunday (October 10), Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Shikder accepted the charge sheet in the case. Two days later, the case was sent to the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court from the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Tuesday (October 12).
