A court has placed two people on a three-day remand in connection with the murder of Rohingya leader Mohibullah, also the chairman of Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH), at a Rohingya camp in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar.
Cox’s Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah passed the order after a remand hearing in the court around 11:45 am on Sunday (October 03).
Earlier around 11, police produced the two accused – Mohammad Selim, 33, and Shawkat Ullah, 23 - am with a seven-day remand prayer. Following the application, the court granted a three-day remand.
So far, four suspects have been arrested from different Rohingya camps at Kutupalong. Shawkat Ullah was arrested on Saturday afternoon, while Armed Police Battalion (APBn) arrested Ziaur and Salam early Friday and Selim around midday on Friday.
Mohibullah was shot dead at a Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar by unidentified assailants last Wednesday night.
