Another Bangladeshi pilgrim, Md Mostafa, aged 89, has passed away in Mecca, Saudi Arabia while performing Hajj. This marks the second death of a Bangladeshi pilgrim in Saudi Arabia this year, following the first incident reported on Wednesday.
Earlier last week a Bangladeshi pilgrim named Md. Asaduzzaman has passed away while performing Hajj this season. He died in Madinah on May 15.

As of now, a total of 27,111 Bangladeshi pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj. The Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal released this information on Saturday, providing detailed statistics about the pilgrims` arrival.
Out of the 27,111 pilgrims, 3,747 have traveled under government management, while the remaining 23,364 have been managed privately. These pilgrims were transported to Saudi Arabia via 68 flights. Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 25 flights, Saudi Airlines managed 23, and Flynas Airlines conducted 20 flights.
The annual Hajj pilgrimage is scheduled for June 16 this year. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has approved 259 agencies to facilitate Hajj activities.
The first Hajj flight departed on May 9, with Hajj flights continuing until June 10. The return flights for the pilgrims are set to commence on June 20 and will conclude on July 22.
