An Associate Professor of the Peace and Conflict Studies department at Dhaka University allegedly harassed one of his students.
The victim student filed a complaint with the vice-chancellor Akhtaruzzaman on December 13. A probe body was formed to find the truth behind the complaint.

A probe body was formed where Social Science Faculty dean Dr. Sadeka Halim was made convenor. The committee has collected the evidence. Now the draft is being prepared.
Being asked about the allegation, the teacher said, “I would like to give you a suggestion that the names of the complainants and the accused should not be disclosed during the investigation.”
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Sadeka Halim said that the VCr formed an inquiry commitee on the basis of a written complaint of sexual harassment of a student brought against a teacher. An investigation is underway and we have taken this matter seriously.”
Both were interrogated. We would be able to submit the investigation report soon.
