Three new faces are named in the presidium of Bangladesh Awami League. They are freedom fighter Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya (Bir Bikram), AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and advocate Qamrul Islam.
The decision was taken during the meeting of Awami League central executive committee on Friday (November 19).
The three presidium member posts fell vacant after former members advocate Abdul Matin Khasru, Mohammed Nasim and Sahara Khatun passed away.
According to the last council of the party held in 2019 Sazeda Khatun, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim, Matia Chowdhury, Mohammed Nasim, Kazi Zafar Ullah, Sahara Khatun, Mosharraf Hossain, Pijush Kanti Bhattacharya, Nurul Islam Nahid, Abdur Razzak, Muhammd Faruk Khan, Ramesh Chandra Sen, Abdul Mannan, Abdul Matin Khasru, Shahjahan Khan, Abdur Rahman and Jahangir Kabir Nanak were named as presidium members.
