The total number of registered voters in Bangladesh now stands at 126,307,504, according to Election Commission (EC) Secretary Akhtar Ahmed.
Speaking to reporters at his office in Agargaon’s Election Bhaban on Sunday (31 August), the secretary said that the EC has published an updated voter list for the second time this year.
Of the total, male voters account for 64,000,455, while female voters number 62,205,819. In addition, 1,230 individuals are registered under the third gender category.
