A tragic event occurred in Lebanon, where a Bangladeshi man named Mohammad Nizam Uddin lost his life due to an Israeli airstrike.
He was just 31 years old and originally from Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh.
The news was confirmed by the Bangladesh embassy in Beirut on Saturday evening, November 2.
The incident happened around 3:23 PM when Nizam was at a coffee shop in the Hazmiyeh area of Beirut.
He had stopped there for a quick coffee on his way to work. Sadly, the airstrike hit while he was inside, and he died at the scene.
His family, including his father, Mohammad Abdul Quddus, and his mother, Mosammat Anwara Begum, live in the Kharera area of Kasba Upazila in Brahmanbaria.
The Bangladesh ambassador to Lebanon, Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, expressed deep sadness over Nizam’s death.
He shared his condolences with Nizam`s family and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
This heartbreaking incident highlights the risks that many expatriates face while working abroad, as they try to provide for their families back home amidst ongoing conflicts.
