Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has called for utilizing the power of youth to make Bangladesh a developed nation by 2041, reports BSS.
"Bangladesh will become a developed nation by 2041 by utilizing the power of youth and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working towards fulfilling it as per the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," he said.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, made the call while addressing the award distributing ceremony 'Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Bangladesh 2022' organized by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh at the hotel Royal Tulip in Inani beach in Cox's Bazar on Friday.
He said the government is working tirelessly to make Bangladesh a humane-state alongside maintaining infrastructure development.
"If you look at Bangladesh 14 years ago and today, you can understand what unprecedented development has taken place in the country," he added.
Lauding the premier for her contribution to the development of the country, he said it has happened due to the astonishing leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina not because of any magic.
Later, Hasan distributed JCI medals to 10 young people in eight categories.
Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Saimum Sarwar Kamal attended the programme as special guest while President of JCI Niaz Morshed Elite delivered the welcome speech on the occasion.
District unit of Awami League President Faridul Islam Chowdhury, Canada unit of Awami League former President Sarwar Hasan, District unit of Awami League former General Secretary Salauddin Ahmed and several JCI members also joined it.
