A mild heat wave is currently affecting different parts of the country and may persist, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) reported on Thursday.
According to the Met Office’s regular bulletin, the heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Jashore, and Chuadanga districts.
The weather is expected to remain dry with a partly cloudy sky, while daytime temperatures will remain nearly unchanged and nighttime temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
Additionally, the bulletin noted that a trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and its adjoining areas, while a seasonal low persists over the South Bay.
