Days after the nation`s 15th General Elections, Anwar Ibrahim, the head of Malaysia`s opposition, was elected as the country`s 10th prime minister, according to the sultan`s palace.
Later on Thursday, he will be sworn in as the new prime minister in as the nation`s 10th leader at the palace at 5 p.m. (0900 GMT) at the palace.
In the 1990s, the 75-year-old worked as deputy prime minister, and in 2018, he was named the official prime minister-in-waiting.
