At least 60 migrants, including 12 children, have died and dozens more are missing as a boat sank in southern Italy.
At least 150 people were aboard when the vessel sunk after it crashed against rocks during rough weather in the Calabria region.
Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, who visited the scene, said as many as 30 people may still be missing.
Among the dead, a new born baby was found. Bodies were recovered from the beach at a nearby seaside resort.
The boat sailed from Turkey was carrying pass engers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and Iran.
