Bangladesh and India has mutually decided to increase the number of flights and flight options between the two neighbouring countries.
The matter was disclosed by the the Indian High Commission in Dhaka through their official Twitter handle on Monday.
According to the tweet, the frequency of flights per week will be increased under Air Bubble arrangement from 7 to 21.
Currently, 7 flights operate between India and Bangladesh.
Moreover, it also mentioned that passengers travelling for medical and business purposes will be prioritised.
The new decision comes in to effect by the end of the current week from October 15, confirmed Vikram Doraiswami, the Indian High Commissioner appointed in Dhaka on Twitter.
He thanked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India and the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) for mutual cooperation to 'ease travel' between the two countries.
