A Chattogram court issued an order to seize movable and immovable assets valued at approximately Tk 11.34 crore belonging to Kamrul Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police, and his wife Saima Begum.
The order was made in connection with a corruption case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Chattogram Metropolitan Sessions Judge Begum Zebunnesa issued the directive following an application by ACC Investigation Officer Emran Hossain to freeze their bank accounts and properties, as reported by our staff correspondent.
Salauddin Lablu, the ACC prosecutor, stated that the court instructed the ACC to appoint a receiver to manage the seized properties.
